30 km northwest of the island's capital it is situated the complex of the villages Volimes (Ano Volimes & Kato Volimes).
Volimes are one of the best starting points for those willing to explore the north side of the island with the numerous caves by the sea and the well-known shipwreck.
The scenery at Volimes is picturesque and very interesting due to the traditional architecture of houses.
The church of Agia Paraskevi, with its remarkable icons and frescoes is one of the most interesting sights.

From the top of mountain Vrahion reaches the wonderful view of Kefalonia island.
